About Kathleen

Planning built around what matters most.

Kathleen Schroeder has been part of Babb Financial Group since 2009 and has spent her entire career in northern Arizona building relationships with individuals, families, retirees, pre-retirees, and business owners. The range of people she serves is wide, but the way she approaches each relationship is the same: she takes the time to understand the full picture before anything else happens.

Her path to financial planning was deliberate. Before stepping into a planning role, she worked in client service, business operations, and compliance at the firm. That background gave her a thorough understanding of how an independent firm operates and what it takes to serve clients well over the long term. She brought all of that experience with her when she moved into planning, and it shows in how she works today.

As a CFP® and TPCP® professional, Kathleen coordinates financial planning, tax strategy, and investment decisions as one connected conversation rather than separate tracks. She is patient, thorough, and deeply attentive to the details that matter most to each person she works with. Ask anyone who has worked with her long enough and they will tell you she shows up for clients the way a good neighbor would. When a client is going through something hard, she does not just send a follow-up email. She goes home and makes homemade soup. That is who she is.

Within the firm, Kathleen plays an important role beyond her own client work. She is someone newer members of the team look to for perspective, not just on technical planning questions but on the less-tangible aspects of doing this work well. She has been here long enough to have seen a lot, and she brings that experience to the team with patience and without pretense.

A native Arizonan, Kathleen graduated from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. She has called northern Arizona home for years and has no plans to leave. Outside of work, she and her family spend their time hiking, camping, gardening, and traveling. She also loves cooking for family and friends, which, if you know Kathleen, comes as no surprise.
