Mike Gorman joined Babb Financial Group in January 2024, bringing nearly a decade of financial services experience that began in corporate finance before transitioning into a direct advisory role. He is a CFP® professional and Certified Student Loan Professional (CSLP®), holds a life and health insurance license, and previously held a CPA license, giving him a broad foundation across planning, tax, and accounting that informs how he approaches each client relationship.
His work is centered on individuals and families navigating significant transitions, whether that is approaching retirement, managing student loan obligations alongside broader financial priorities, or thinking through the financial implications of a major life change. He takes the time to understand each person's situation before any direction is offered, and works to connect financial planning decisions with what matters most at each stage of life.
Mike grew up in Chicago and attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. His introduction to northern Arizona came in 2020 when he and his wife spent six weeks in Flagstaff and Sedona. They made the move in 2022 and have not looked back. Flagstaff suited them immediately and it is very much home now.
Outside of work, Mike and his wife are busy raising two young children, which has a way of filling every available hour. He is also an ultra-runner, and most mornings you can find him on the trails at Buffalo Park, sometimes with a child in the stroller. Traveling is something the family prioritizes when life allows, and Costa Rica has been a favorite. He still cheers for the Cubs and Marquette Basketball, and is very happy to have left Chicago winters behind.
